Andrew Jackson Patterson was born in 1832 in Union Co., GA. On February 18, 1855 he married Lavina "Vina" Darnell in Fannin Co., GA. Vina was born in 1834 in SC.

Andrew died in December of 1863 in a Confederate hospital in Savannah, GA (Chatham Co). His widow Vina was still living in 1880 in Madison Co., GA.
