Joseph B Patterson and Pollie Hawkins

Joseph Black Patterson was born in 1825 in Rabun Co., GA. Joseph married Mary "Pollie" Hawkins on February 20, 1844 in Union County, Georgia - by William Poteet, JP.

Joseph and Pollie had 2 sons and 5 daughters between 1845 and 1859. Their names were as follows:

George Dallas Patterson (1845 - 1929)
Sarah Margaret Patterson (1847 - ?)
John E. Patterson (1850 - 1902)
Amy Jane Patterson (1851 - 1896); m. Miles C. Turner
Catherine Patterson (1853 - ?)
Nancy Patterson (1856 - ?)
Emeline Patterson (1859 - ?)

In June of 1861, Joseph died in a hospital in Savannah, GA (Chatham Co). He was a member of the Confederacy during the war. I will have more information regarding this in the near future. Pollie died after 1870 sometime, but I'm not sure when. At least 3 of their children and their families remained in Union Co GA during the course of their lives.
