John Thomas Patterson was born February 09, 1815 in Haywood Co., NC. On March 13, 1839 he married Sarah "Sallie" Beasley in Union Co., Ga. Sallie was born in 1821 in NC.

John and Sallie had at least eight children, as follows:

Sallie died on November 24, 1859 in Kirby's Mill, Section, Jackson Co., AL. John died on February 17, 1867, same location. Both are buried at Old Sardis Holiness Church Cemetery, in Jackson Co., AL.
