One of my challenges in researching my family tree has always centered around the "WHERE". Where did they live? Where are they buried? Therefore, I have worked very hard over the years to pinpoint farm locations and cemetery locations. As a result, I have had to learn quite a bit about geography in general - locations of streams (rivers, creeks, branches, etc), roads, mountains, county boundaries - you name it.

This page will be my launching point for documenting locations of plantations/farms and cemeteries. Each listing will be categorized as follows: Family Group > Country > State > County > Nearest City or Town > Owner > Description of Tract. The link to the nearest city or town will open up google maps to the general location of the city or town, not necessarily to the plantation/farm location itself.
