By Wes Patterson (Last Revised: 22 January 2018)

Robert Patterson owned multiple tracts of land in York Co., SC, but those details are still being compiled. In summary, however, it appears that Robert received one land grant of 200 acres, plus he also inherited the 150 acres his son James had purchased in 1774. When James died in 1775, leaving no heirs, the land passed to his father, Robert. This would have been what prompted Robert to re-write his will in 1775, presumably. Thus far, 350 acres have been found that was disposed of by Robert's sons.
